Good Things Come to Those Who've Been Cheated On, Bad Things Come to Those Who Cheat

It has come to my attention that my low-down, dirty-rotten, scumbag, cheater of an ex-boyfriend is having a pretty rough go.

Since we'd gotten together, roughly three years ago, I'd gotten him $1000.00 out of debt, and a few thousand out of the hole. I took him out of his parents house and away from the drugs and alcohol. He was completely self-sufficient and had a pretty decent job. And to top it all off, I'd helped him get into college.

Now, seven months after the break-up, he's over $20,000 in debt. Moving back in with his parents and he's balls deep in drugs and alcohol. He has no job and no prospects. He also dropped out of college and has no direction in life...

The sad thing is, I'm doing and feeling better than I ever did when I was with him.

He was the one that cheated and fucked everything up... but I still can't help but feel bad for the stupid twat. I guess that's what separates the good guys from the bad guys.

I guess the moral of the story is, cheaters never prosper... Well sometimes they do, but is it really worth the risk?

Forgiving the Unforgivable

The question everyone wants to know:
Is there EVER an instance in which it is okay to forgive your scummy, cheating partner?

The answer?
Absolutely.

Can cheaters turn over a new leaf?
Everybody is capable of change.  Absolutely everybody.  Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

However, not everyone is willing to change.  This is where the real work comes into play here.  You have to decide whether or not your partner is honestly willing to commit after their act of infidelity.  Sometimes they are, and sometimes they aren't.
You should be the person who knows them best, so it shouldn't be that hard to decide whether or not they're changeable; and it should be easy to determine whether or not they're lying when they say they're willing to change for you... and if you're NOT the pereson who know them best, then you probably shouldn't be in the relationship in the first place.

Unfortunately, sometimes, even after you have decided that they are capable of change, it's impossible for you to forgive.  Cheating is one of the hardest acts to forgive.  It's a breech of trust.  After working hard to build up that trust, it can be impossible to get back.

But remember, it make to a big person to forgive, but it takes an idiotic one to forget; so if you do decide to take them back, remember what they put you through...

And give them a little hell (or a lot) to make up for it.

Cheater, Cheater, Cheater!

It baffles me how stupid cheaters are.  I'm relatively sure that only the stupidest people on the planet cheat.  Take for instance Tiger Woods, Mel Gibson, and Leann Rimes.  What a bunch of idiots.  Tiger Woods was married to a supermodel and cheated on her with a bunch of porn stars.  That alone speaks wonders about his IQ.  Mel Gibson was supposed to be a Jesus freak.  Jesus wouldn't approve of his cheating ways, that's for damn sure.  And Leann Rimes... Well she was just an idiot in the first place.  Shame on her ex for being with her.  tsk tsk.

But what really baffles is how most cheaters think they won't get caught.  And on top of that, when they do get caught they think they can weasel their way out of it with a few moronic lies.  "I didn't do it, I swear!"  When the girl you slept with ADMITS to it, and all of the people who SAW you take her home text me the next day, who am I supposed to believe???  The twenty people that know you cheated, or your dumb, lying ass?

I really love the comeback, "How could you believe them over me?"  The best reply for this would be, "Because I'm not a delusional moron."  You may have meant more to me than they did yesterday, but that was before I was informed that you were a dirty cheating bastard.  Now you're about as valueable to me as the flavorless gum I spit out ten minutes ago.

Then there's the stalker.  "Please take me back! I didn't do it!  I'll change!  I'll do anything!"  They show up at your once shared apartment just to sit outside your door, crying.  They find out what bars you're going to so they can show up to make sure you're not getting hit on.  They cause a scene and threaten the people who show any interest.  Sometimes they get domestic disturbance charges pressed against them for showing up at 3 in the morning, yelling at the top of their lungs and throwing you against a wall as if that would knock some sense into you.  Domestic violence is never okay.  The stalkers are the ones you need to watch out for.  If they start creeping around, get a restraining order ASAP.  They may very well drink themselves into the belief that if they can't have you, then nobody should.

Cheaters are usually mind-numbingly dumb people with horrible intrapersonal skills.  Stay away from the dummies and you should, hopefully, not have a problem with cheaters.

Cheers!
